Advice Needed - How to improve your energy
|
I'm constantly fucking tired, I've started to change my diet and also walk at least 3/4 times a week, but I'm forever feeling fucking tired.
Any of you slags got any useful advice which doesn't involve taking cocaine?
Thanks in advance

It's lockdown mate. We're all feeling it. Irregular sleep, worries we don't really want to articulate, getting under one another's feet and life having a strangely nightmare quality- even if you don't admit it even to yourself. Shitty weather and short days of sunlight
I know lots of people in exactly your position and I am probably the same. Personally I find cycling really helpful. I usually cycle with my missus who is not a confident cyclist who only took it up recently as we can't get to the gym and I cycle at her pace so I could feel that I was losing my fitness.
Last night I cycled from Camden to Leytonstone on my own to watch West Ham with my brother and cycled as fast as I could there and back and I feel much better today and slept pretty well last night.
Walking's good but unless you walk at a pace that's slightly uncomfortable it won't make you significantly more fit.
Personally I don't think you are going to find energy just through things like supplements, just try and eat healthily and crack on at a pace that makes you start to sweat, that's when exercise is doing you good.

So you've had a health check which indicated no problems, yet haven't had a blood test, which might. Honestly fella, get a test. As I've said a Vit D deficiency will definately leave you feeling tired and lethargic, even if you're otherwise relatively fit and healthy. If you do have low levels, either a jab or taking supplements will work. Well, they did for me.

I had a health check a few weeks back, albeit they didn't do blood tests etc, and was given a clean bill of health.

Wd40 is right....you could be anaemic or have thyroid problems. If its the latter that might explain depression issues too if you have been feeling down at all.

The boy slept from 7:30pm until 5:30am this morning, fed him, got him up and out for a walk - thought I'd try walking not long after waking up.
Not sure if it's coincidence, but feel a lot more with it today.

boltkunt 6:56 Wed Feb 3 Re: Advice Needed - How to improve your ENERGY Rios, We tend to go to bed around 9.
Goose, i feel your pain, my brother has two girls who are barely 18 months apart, they're 2 and 3 and neither sleep well, he's absolutely broken.
Ahhh that brings back memories. My first experience at parenthood was twins and we followed up with a nightmare child 16 months later. I don’t remember sleeping much for about 3 years, you gradually get used to it. Then they start sleeping properly, and you feel fucked cos your body can’t cope with the extra sleep

Yep mine was way past two as well, was a fucking killer.
Used to travel a lot for work and before we had our daughter I hated it. It was like paradise after couple of good nights sleep in a hotel sorted me right out. Felt bad about leaving the missus but not as bad as I probably should have...

Make yourself get out... helps having a hound but if not get out and do at least 10k steps a day... i've done at least 10k every single day since Boxing day... if I hadn't done I reckon i'd be about 247.5 stone... in all seriousness get out EVERY day
